Financial Assistance for Marriage (BBOCWWB)

Details

Under this scheme of the Bihar Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (BBOCWWB), financial assistance is provided to registered construction workers towards marriage expenses. The assistance covers the marriage of up to two adult daughters of a registered worker, and the marriage of a registered female worker herself.

• Financial assistance of Rs. 50,000/- for the marriage.
• Available for the marriage of up to two adult daughters of a registered worker, or for the registered female worker's own marriage.

Eligibility

1. The applicant must be a construction worker registered with the Bihar Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board.
2. The applicant must have been a member of the Board for at least three years.
3. The registration of the worker must be live, with subscriptions paid up to date.
4. The bride must have attained the legal age of marriage.
5. The benefit is limited to two daughters of a registered worker.

Application Process

1. Apply online on the Bihar Labour Resources Department portal using your BOCW registration number, or submit the form at the local Labour Office.
2. Attach the marriage proof and the other required documents.
3. The application is verified by the Labour Enforcement Officer of the concerned area.
4. On approval by the Board, the assistance is credited to the registered worker's bank account.
