Mukhyamantri Mahila Rojgar Yojana (MMRY) is a Government of Bihar scheme that funds self-employment for women. Every eligible woman receives a first instalment of Rs. 10,000 as seed capital to start a livelihood activity of her choice. On satisfactory utilisation, verified through a utilisation report and a field check, further assistance of up to Rs. 2,00,000 is released in stages, alongside mandatory orientation and skill training. Applications are made through the JEEViKA Self Help Group network, and the grant is credited directly to the Aadhaar-seeded bank account of the applicant.

Eligibility

1. The applicant must be a woman and a permanent resident of Bihar.
2. The age of the applicant should be between 18 and 60 years.
3. The applicant must be an active member of a JEEViKA Self Help Group.
4. The applicant must hold a bank account seeded with her Aadhaar number.
5. The applicant must not have an outstanding default against an earlier instalment of this scheme.
6. Only one member per household may receive assistance at a time.

Application Process

1. Register with, or confirm active membership of, the JEEViKA Self Help Group in your village.
2. Complete Aadhaar e-KYC and confirm that your bank account is Aadhaar-seeded.
3. Submit the application through the SHG to the block project office, naming the livelihood activity to be funded.
4. Attend the orientation and skill training arranged by the block team.
5. On approval, the first instalment of Rs. 10,000/- is credited to your bank account.
6. Submit the utilisation report for the instalment received; a field verification follows before the next tranche is released.
